Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This policy applies to all paid subscriptions to The Global Assistant, sold by Ahmed Wael, sole proprietor, trading as The Global Assistant (TGAGlobal). Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, so approved refunds are issued by Paddle back to the original payment method. This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
1. What you are buying
The Global Assistant is a subscription to an online service. Access is provisioned automatically within seconds of a successful payment; there is no physical product, download or shipment. Because the Service is supplied immediately and in full, the refund terms below replace any statutory cooling-off period that would otherwise apply to consumers — but they are deliberately at least as generous, and nothing here removes rights you have under mandatory law in your own country.
2. Free plan and free trial
The Free plan never charges you and needs no cancellation. Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial, and you can cancel at any point within it at no cost. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the first billing period is charged automatically and your subscription begins.
3. Cancelling your subscription
Cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Manage subscription in the app, from the Paddle billing portal linked in your invoice emails, or by emailing info@theglobalassistant.click. No reason is required and there is no cancellation fee or notice period.
Cancelling stops all future renewals immediately. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account drops to the Free plan. Your run history is preserved; you can request deletion at any time.
4. 14-day money-back guarantee
If the Service is not right for you, contact us within 14 days of your first payment on a new subscription and we will refund that payment in full, no questions asked. This applies once per customer, to the first charge on a new subscription — not to renewals, mid-term upgrades or seat add-ons.
5. Refunds we always give
Outside the 14-day window, we will still refund in full where:
- you were charged in error, or charged twice for the same period;
- you were charged after cancelling, or after a trial you cancelled in time;
- access was never provisioned, or the Service was unusable for a sustained period through a fault on our side and we could not fix it;
- we materially reduced what your plan includes mid-term — in which case you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused prepaid period;
- the law where you live requires it.
6. What is not refundable
Apart from the cases above, subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. We do not give partial or pro-rata refunds for unused time, unused run allowance, seats you stopped using, or for a renewal you forgot to cancel — though if a renewal caught you out, write to us within 7 days of the charge and we will look at it case by case, and in practice we usually refund an unused renewal. Accounts terminated by us for a breach of the Terms are not refunded.
7. How to request a refund
Email info@theglobalassistant.click with the email address used at checkout and your Paddle order or invoice reference. You can also contact Paddle directly at paddle.net, which handles buyer enquiries for all our orders.
We acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days and approve or decline within 5 business days, with a reason if we decline. Once approved, Paddle processes the refund and the money typically reaches your card or account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. Refunds are issued in the original currency to the original payment method; we cannot refund to a different card or account. Any tax collected at checkout is refunded with the payment.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank — almost every case is resolved faster by email, and a disputed charge suspends the account while the bank investigates. If you have already raised one, tell us and we will work with Paddle to resolve it.
9. Upgrades, downgrades and seats
Upgrading takes effect immediately and Paddle charges the prorated difference for the remainder of the current period. Downgrading takes effect at the next renewal, with no refund of the difference for the current period. Seat add-ons are billed on the same cycle as the plan; removing seats takes effect at the next renewal.
